In design, there can be many right answers. But that doesn’t mean every answer is right for you. DeWitt follows a design process built around finding a unique solution that works with each client’s parameters and personality. We don’t design based on trends, fads or quick fixes. Instead, we foster an immersive, imaginative experience where you can create a space based on your personality, goals and a level of quality that leads to a lasting aesthetic.
STEP 1
Discovery & Relationship Building 
The most important part of our design process is getting to know you. Our team begins any relationship by meeting with you to get a sense of your intentions: how you want to live in the space, your personal preferences and the scale of the project. It’s just as important that you get to know our team and approach at this stage so we can form a collaborative, creative partnership.

STEP 2
Design Assessment 
After getting to know you, we get to know your space on a deeper level. Here the design journey starts to take shape, as we learn your specific preferences about the space, project details, the floorplan, set budget expectations and more. We then build a contract of work that lays out exactly what we’re aiming to do. We also talk timeline in this phase of the project, knowing that each project needs a fluid approach.

We begin to develop the canvas in layers during the design process, reviewing options and selecting elements for your space in our design studio. We’ll go through sketches and a layout plan and work with you to select tile, flooring, cabinets, hardware, light fixtures, paint, countertops and more. Your design will come to life across both the physical and digital world to ensure you are confident with the plan prior to ordering. During this phase, we’ll also work with you in the showroom to help you tangibly experience nuances in arrangements, comfort, textures and lighting implications.

We pride ourselves on full service, end-to-end project management and clear communication, so you’ll never be left wondering where you are in the process.
